The Grand Final of ITSF CUP 2022 took place last Saturday.
IT branch representatives who emerged during the eliminations phase which started in May, took part in the championship. From the very beginning they represented a high level of skill so the fight was fierce and even. 12 competitors qualified for the Grand Final. The tournament consisted of 19 matches played on 4 courts. Competitors experienced not only fierce rivalry, but also had a chance to share their business experience and passion for tennis during many conversations with fellow players.
„This year’s edition proved that there are many players representing a great physical shape and technical performance in IT branch. Eliminations and the final phase were full of incredibly fierce rivalry and it was difficult to point out the winner until the very end. Emotions are still buzzing, but we’ve already began planning next year’s edition of ITSF CUP.” – comments Mikołaj Wiśniak, Vice President of IT Solution Factor.
The day of the Grand Final ended with a play-off stage, where players competed for the main prize – 2 tickets for a tournament day of Roland Garros 2023. Last year’s winner Piotr Saczuk (Suntech) lost in semi finals by a small margain to Przemysław Chudon (Januszek Electric) in super tie-break. The final battle between Przemysław Chudon and Dariusz Osiak (The IT Center of the Ministry of Finance) ended with the win of the first one of them. Przemysław Chudon became the winner of ITSF CUP 2022, and Dariusz Osiak took the second place another year in a row. The third place was taken by Piotr Saczuk and Grzegorz Chamulak (Xcomp).
We would like to congratulate all the players on the podium for their results and all the competitors for their outstanding spirit during the matches.
