IT Solution Factor at Microsoft Ignite 2025!

We are at Ignite 2025 in San Francisco – an event where Microsoft presents its biggest innovations! Intelligent agents, process automation and artificial intelligence deeply embedded in everyday work are the most important directions for the development of Microsoft 365. Kacper Konopiński and Mikołaj Wiśniak are on site to observe everything.

🚀 The most important new features

🔹 Work IQ – a new layer of AI that understands the context, priorities and work style of the user

Work IQ is moving from a ‘responsive assistant’ to an ‘understanding assistant’ – it analyses not only what the user types, but also how they work, what their priorities are and what style of working they prefer. As a result, Copilot gains what is known as ‘conversational memory’ — it can remember previous interactions and thus become a true collaborator that suggests next steps instead of just responding to commands.

🔹 Copilot Agents — agents that can perform multi-step tasks in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

The new agents integrate directly with office tools — they not only generate content, but also perform real actions, undertaking multi-step operations, automating processes, and taking over routine tasks. For example, they can analyse data in Excel, generate reports, prepare a presentation in PowerPoint, and then invite the team to collaborate in Teams — all with minimal user involvement. This is a step towards a model where work becomes more creative and less manual.

🔹 Outlook + Copilot — by far the biggest improvement in many years

The combination of Outlook and Copilot is a game-changer: features such as one-tap prompts to organise your inbox with a single click, voice-enabled Copilot for mobile devices, automatic calendar conflict resolution, and full AI-powered meeting scheduling, including date selection, agenda, and invitations. As a result, Outlook is no longer just an email and calendar client, but an intelligent organisational centre that proactively supports the user.

🔹 Voice Copilot – voice control in M365 applications

Voice Copilot brings voice interaction to the production level – users can dictate commands, set priorities, perform quick tasks or generate meeting summaries – all without having to reach for the keyboard. This is a significant change for mobility and hybrid work, where traditional typing tools are replaced by natural conversation with a digital assistant.

🔹 Windows + local AI – native models and MCP integration mean that Copilot agents can operate faster and without dependence on the cloud

With native AI models running locally on Windows and integration with the MCP (Microsoft Copilot Platform), agents can process data without the need for a constant connection to the cloud. This means faster speeds, less latency, and a higher level of privacy and security — especially important in environments with IT restrictions or data protection requirements. In short, the AI assistant becomes part of the device, not just an online feature.

All of the above innovations mean fewer tedious and manual tasks and more support in planning, decision-making and everyday activities. The ITSF team will certainly be testing the individual solutions 😊
